You could expect paying around $15-$20 per plate. Drinks are gonna be extra cost no matter where you go. However, for a farm to fork restaurant it's pretty reasonably priced.
Yes it is.
No but I'd recommend them on weekends.
Yes and there is a hamburger and fries on the menu for picky eaters
They are on a Holiday break for the employees. They open back up tomorrow.
No, but it can't hurt.
Bring your appetite! There is an amazing assortment of local farm to table selections available that changes every 3 months to take advantage of the seasonal availability of fresh ingredients. Save some room for dessert too! Staff is very helpful explaining the unique nuances of the menu options. Table options inside and outside are both appealing depending on the weather. There's lots of unique and tasteful art inside to enjoy as well.
If you are up for trying new things and you are not a picky eater this is the place for you. We enjoyed our experience!
Service could run a tighter ship to begin with. Serving sizes even bigger room for improvement. The wait staff could be more receptive to the needs of the customer while following protocol. The entree portions leave a lot to be desired. Lot of food to be desired, to be precise. If i have to spend $50 on an entree and then go to taco bell to have my stomach filled then i have made atleast 1 wrong choice of restaurant that night.
Great place for vegetarian/ vegan options. Farm to table goodness. Beet salad is a must.
This was our second visit, and both times were fantastic! The food is delicious, the presentation is amazing, and the service is top-notch! Wonderful experience!
High end dining with a very specific menu which I recommend checking out before you show up. Definitely on the $$$ side of things but I had an incredible Pork Chop and the service was terrific. Looking to go back for brunch!
Tolon is worth the price. When I heard the former head chef of Eddie Merlots was starting his own restaurant, I knew it would be great! I was not disappointed. You can taste the passion for cuisine in every bite. The staff is professional and friendly. The Brussel sprouts are one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I would also highly recommend their brunch. I’m so thankful this place exists!
This was our first time eating at the actual restaurant instead of the food truck. It did not disappoint! Our waitress Robin was sporting her Halloween face paint and was very attentive. She provided excellent service and drink recommendations as well as the other staff that helped deliver parts of our meal. We will definitely be coming back in the future!
The bacon cheese burger is exemplary. Top 3 of all time for me. Legit x 10
All farm to table, great story behind the artwork and everything about the restaurant. The food quality is incredible for the price. You won't be disappointed, especially with their brunch. Out of this world
Highly recommend. Food was amazing and the service from Rachel was top notch. The art work on the wall is from Ricco Diamante. The "gods butter" roasted bone marrow was amazing. We both had the lobster bisque soup. I ordered the pork chop and Stacy got the scallops. It was all soooooo fresh and amazing. And of course the s'mores dessert.
Food was fresh and delicious. Pork belly and french onion soup made for a great starter. I would return.
Been here for lunch and brunch, both very good and worth a trip back. Love the farm to table approach, fresh food makes a huge difference in taste. Highly recommended
Unbelievable food!! We tried it all. The food was beyond awsome and desert omg fabulous. Or waitress was on top of her game. Never waited for anything! Great music playing. Just the atmosphere was on que.
Great food, staff and atmosphere. Highly recommend
Tolon was fantastic as always! The bartenders k ow how to mix drink and everything we had to eat was delicious!
There is one restaurant in Fort Wayne that would have the chops to compete in New York, Chicago, LA. It's Tolon. The difference is in New York, LA or Chicago, you won't find the owners serving food to tables or out front spreading salt if it snows. It's clear they make a great team and have great pride in their businesses. It comes through not only in the food but in the cleanliness and the even through the overall good natured attitude of the staff. Being in Fort Wayne after having spent several years in Southern California and grown accustomed to the higher quality cuisine, this actually is the only restaurant in town that we enjoy eating at and spending money at. Nothing else compares - but that's passion.
Went there for Valentine's 2/14/20 with my girlfriend. We liked the ambiance of the place. Just know that it is loud when it is busy. We tried the brussel sprouts for an appetizer. I Highly recommend them. Yummy! Drinks are boozy watch out! Not complaining. She got the lobster Bisque soup. She liked it, just wasn't the best she's had. She then got the scallops for her main course. She absolutely loved them. I wanted the lobster surf and turf but they ran out of lobster, so I settled for just the ribeye. It was good other than it was super fatty! Which is why I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 stars. For the price I'd expect the steak to be a lot less fatty. 2 mixed drinks, the appetizer, soup, and 2 main entrees and we walked out with just under a 140 dollar bill, not including the tip.
The menu is amazing. I had the hardest time deciding. The variety on the menu is impressive. I can honestly say the mixed drinks are mixed perfectly they had some craft beers just old favorites though. The food had the complex flavors you would expect from a farm to table fine dining restaurant. I'm just so happy that Fort Wayne is finally growing!
I cannot comment on quality of food, but I can advise you to look at the menu and ensure it is something you know you like. If you come here unprepared you may be disappointed. I advise you to call the staff. They are wonderful and friendly. Ask them any and all questions you have prior to your visit. Just attempt to avoid their rush hours. Call between 3pm and 5pm is best bet.I hope this helps some of you.Just remember, it's not a bad restaurant, it just requires a certain pallet.
Great food and I loved the atmosphere! Good craft beer selection and good deserts as well. I had the pork belly for an appetizer and the scallops for dinner, bother were done perfectly. We had great service and a very knowledgeable waiter. Can't say enough good about this place. We will be back for sure!
The environment was welcoming. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I grew up on a farm where I raised "farm to fork" meals with my family. Eating at Tolon reminded me of eating all of the farm fresh ingredients from home. It's by far one of the better restaurants I've dined at in Fort Wayne.
Delicious food in an enjoyable atmosphere. The owner took the time to make us feel welcome on top of already great service. You need to go taste the food for yourself, you won’t regret it! Great cocktails also!
Food is consistently excellent and the service is bad all the time. I dine at this establishment when I come to Fort Wayne average once a month. The duck dish is incredible and my favorite. But the service is at the far opposite side of the scale. Here is the highlight. I sat in at the bar tonight for dinner and walked out as I am being ignored for at least 7-10 minutes by the bartender. He was busy serving other customers who came after me. I wonder his motivation of such. I plan to bring my local team to Tolon tomorrow evening for team dinner and the service will be measured again but I would not hold my breath.I wish the owner/chef realize the situation in the dining area. People may eventually get tired of the substandard services regardless of the good food.
I stopped in for brunch and sat at the bar. I had already looked at the menu online so I had an idea of what I wanted so I asked the bartender what he thought about the shrimp and grits and explained to him I don’t really like grits. He then stated they are cauliflower based and so I was sold after that. After about 15 mins my food was being brought out. The cauliflower base def made me a grits fan and the shrimp and eggs with the homemade hot sauce were a great combination as well. I will definitely be back to try other menu items.
Phenomenal food prepared by Chef Nolot and crew, with phenomenal service as well. Perfect ambiance for a date night or a meal with friends.
They were hosting an event to benefit the SPCA and the food provided was amazing! The service and atmosphere were terrific! I will definitely be returning!
Amazing food and cocktails. The owner was very nice and answered all our questions regarding the food and drinks. Probably one of the best burgers I've ever had! I will definitely be back.
Get the burger. Amazing! Get the duck confit. Amazing! Don’t get lamb shank. There is a strong alcoholish taste. Don’t get dessert here. Brownie with peanut butter ice cream was not good at all.
Great healthy food! I was so stuffed afterwards!
The restaurant is very beautiful and welcoming, staff was perfect. I was looking more for a gastronomic experience like trying more small plates. The first plate of deviled eggs could be improved. There was too much yolk (too heavy). Not the worst but I prefer normal made deviled eggs to these ones. Mayonnaise and fresh herbs. The Pappardelle pasta was very good just would reduce the portion. I know it sounds weird, but how can I enjoy appetizers entree and dessert with the size of these plates. My friend had a burger and could not finish half of it. That’s my opinion, overall you will have a great night there.
The atmosphere is a casual rustic/industrial fusion. The staff is friendly and knows their stuff. Chef and his kitchen crew make magic with the food. You gotta check this place out!
Fun and comfortable atmosphere. Had a hamburger- delicious and salad-inventive and delightful. We ordered the freshly prepared pork rinds and they were a hit with most of our group, but it's just not my thing. Loved the idea of walking to a live show around the corner. I'm excited to see this type of restaurant in our sweet city! Can't wait to go back and sit outside now that it's an option!
Great crab cakes and pasta. Drinks are different and amazing.
Delicious and the waiter was awesome!
Intimate restaurant with great service, interesting, fresh, tasty menu selections.
Great food. Everything is fresh and delicious, including drinks and dessert. Clean environment with a friendly staff. Highly recommended. Each visit is better than the last. Can't wait to return soon.
This place is absolutely fantastic! I travel for work and in every US locale, in which I work, I seek out the local farm to table restaurant, if there is one. Well, while in Fort Wayne my colleague and I found Tolon. What a find! Warm inviting atmosphere, cozy decor, fantastic people and incredible( I do mean incredible) food. Our server was Randall and what a great ambassador he is for Tolon. He took the time to explore the menu with us, making some recomendations and telling us a little about Tolon. Every bite was phenomenal. The deliciousness coming out of this kitchen is something to behold! A must try for anyone who enjoys healthy, fresh, and flavorful food. Kudos to everyone at Tolon.
I'm giving a 3 here because the first time I went I had the scallops and they were very good. The atmosphere and concept are/were really tasteful as well. This time 'round I had the $50 ribeye and it wasn't just underwhelming, it was really a mediocre piece of meat. It was accompanied by two potatoes worth of fries and aioli. The fries were good but I couldn't eat that many fries in.. well...two sittings anyway.A few tweaks and some attention to detail on the meat selection and this could be a 5 star review. Truly. Perhaps I just got an off cut here.. Idk. Seems like a trained chef would have noticed.. Hopeful.
One of the best places in Fort Wayne to get fresh, farm to table meals. The menu changes seasonally and everything is done so well. The home made pork rinds and duck fat fries are incredible. You can still hear the pork rinds "poppin" when they bring them to the table. It is a must visit in Fort Wayne.
Wonderful hosts. Amazing food. Delicious wine. Already planning our return trip!
Excellent food. Not overly priced but it is pricey. Fantastic Service. Will return!
Overall really impressed with Tolon. Very friendly and attentive staff. The food is top tier for Fort Wayne area and justifies it's cost. There is something for everyone, but it is a limited menu so don't expect several variations on each type of item. The burger was incredible, and surprised me. They do run out of items, so plan accordingly.
I couldn't decide between the pappardelle pasta and the burger so I got both. Pasta was a little spicier than I anticipated but I was still delicious. The burger was amazing. I picked it up and cheese and bacon spread fell all over my chips so I had a couple nachos as well. Cooked perfectly. The bar tender was very friendly and has some serious skills. Highly recommend.
Warning: You do not need 4 appetizers per person to constitute a meal. We overdid it. Portions are larger than we expected. Great for sharing. I can't recommend the bone marrow dish enough. It deserves the title "God's Butter." The fried Brussels sprouts were exceptional, and I don't know what magic they put in the cauliflower "grits." Friendly service.
Excellent farm to table fair. Relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed the brussel sprouts, veal chop and duck. Friendly staff.Suspect the clientele is mostly local.
We drive down from Detroit to meet with family. This restaurant has a very unique menu supporting local suppliers. We enjoy the atmosphere, the service, the artwork and ESPECIALLY THE FOOD. I especially enjoy Ricco Diamante's painting titled Unity. My parents were immigrants and this painting talks to me about what America is. This creates a beautiful environment for me to enjoy a great meal. I am not sure if the artists would allow the restaurant owners to post pictures of some of the artwork on their website but the restaurant would make a nice Gallery also.
Never ever disappoints. Matthew knows his stuff.
This place is packed with friendly workers who are ready to help anyone who walks in to the restaurant. I've had only a few things on the menu. The salmon, chicken and most definitely the duck fat fries, my gosh! Boys will be boys! They are amazing! I've had lots of the duck fat fries, usually order those to just take home. Tolon, I would give you 10 stars if possible. The environment is really good, the employees are all friendly and inviting and the food is delicious. I recommend everyone that loves a fancy setting with excellent food. Give this place a visit! You will not be disappointed. I still can't tell you enough, those fries. The best thing ever! Get that extra aioli sauce! I could go on about that sauce too. Just try it for yourselves.
Tolon is the best place to eat in Fort Wayne!!! Food is great, recommend the brussel sprouts. Service and atmosphere are spectacular! The owners are so friendly and came over to greet us!!! Defiantly will be back!!!!
